I may be right in thinking this is Jamie Oliver’s most popular recipes and (apart from maybe his Christmas dinner roasties , that hubby swears by)and for a very good reason!!!
The recipe calls for chickpeas , but I accidentally opened the wrong can , so I used a mix of chickpeas and cannellini beans instead , which did not harm the flavour at all . If anything the beans helped thicken the sauce a bit more and achieve the consistency I love.
